Vertical Sump Pump
(Molten Sulfur)

Taber Pump offers a specially designed vertical submerged centrifugal pump for molten sulfur service. In North America and elsewhere the world, Taber Pump have become the standard and market leader in the industry for molten sulfur application.
The impeller housing, shaft housing and discharge pipe are all steam jacketed to maintain the Sulphur at its optimum pumping temperature. Steam jacket supplied with saturated dry steam at a maximum pressure of around 20~40 psig. This corresponds to a steam temperature of around 138°C (280°F).
